NOPD Seeks Suspect in Battery, Aggravated Assault on North Villere

NOPD Seeks Suspect in Battery, Aggravated Assault on North Villere

The NOPD is looking for Bryant Banks (DOB: 10/26/1989) for battery and aggravated assault in connection with an incident that took place in the 1600 block of North Villere. 


The victim reported that on February 1, 2017, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Banks and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. Banks reportedly struck the victim with an unknown object on the face and the back of the head, knocking the victim to the ground. Banks then produced a firearm and handed it to a second suspect who had begun attacking the victim as well. The second suspect then fired the weapon at the victim as he fled for safety. 

 

Upon investigation of this incident, Banks was positively identified as one the perpetrators.
