Fourth District Officers Arrest Three on Garden Oaks Drive

NOPD Fourth District officers have taken three more guns off of the street and arrested three individuals for illegal carrying of firearms and possession of narcotics.

On February 6, 2017, officers on a walking beat in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks Drive discovered a group of seven individuals engaged in illegal gambling activity. Officers approached the individuals from the rear to avoid early detection and noticed an extended firearm magazine sticking out from one of the individual’s waistband.  The officers then engaged the individuals and were able to handcuff them without incident.

During the subsequent investigation, officers found and confiscated illegal narcotics and three firearms, including a Glock 23 that was stolen from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, a Glock 22 and a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson.

Officers then arrested Devin Lacrosse (DOB:11-11-96), Arthur Stevenson (DOB: 12-8-94), and Tyrone Howard (DOB: 9-03-92).

Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
