Auto Theft Suspect Wanted for Incident on Elmira Street

The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating a suspect believed to have stolen an automobile from the 600 block of Elmira Street on February 12, 2017.

At about 5:30 a.m., video surveillance captured the unknown subject entering the victim’s vehicle and driving away from the location. On the same day, about an hour later, the subject returned the victim’s vehicle and fled the location on foot. The victim told police that, because the keys to the vehicle had been lost or misplaced, they suspect the vehicle has been taken and returned on several occasions.
