NOPD Investigating Homicide in Sixth District

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning (December 4, 2022) in the 2900 block of Danneel Street that left two people dead.

At about 8:35 a.m., NOPD Sixth District officers responded to a call of a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers located two male victims at the location that had each sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victims were transported via EMS to a local hospital, where both victims were later declared deceased.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No additional details are currently available.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victims and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
