NOPD Identifies Suspect in First District Reckless Operation Incident

The NOPD is seeking to locate Sterling Young Jr. (pictured, black male, DOB: 11-13-1973) in the investigation of a reckless operation of a vehicle incident that occurred on December 4, 2022, at the intersection of North Claiborne Avenue and Columbus Street.

At about 5:30 p.m., the pictured purple 2001 Pontiac Firebird bearing Louisiana license plate 482BTJ driving recklessly in the presence of spectators. Through investigation, NOPD First District detectives developed and positively identified Young as the owner of the vehicle.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
