One Suspect Arrested, Another Still At Large in Christmas Day Homicide

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD has arrested Danny Hunter (not pictured, DOB:11/15/86) and is still searching for a second suspect in the investigation of a homicide that occurred in the Second District on December 25, 2020. 

At around 9:30 p.m., NOPD Second District officers responded to a call of shots fired at the intersection of Monroe and Green Streets.  Upon arrival officer observed a man’s body on the sidewalk in front of a home located in the 1700 block of Monroe Street.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Through investigation, detectives were able to develop Hunter as a suspect.  He was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for second degree murder.  A second suspect is still at large.
