NOPD VOWS Unit Arrests Juvenile Suspects in Seventh District Shooting

The NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) has arrested two juveniles, ages 15 and 17 respectively, who were wanted in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred on November 16, 2019.

Through investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives developed the two juveniles as suspects in the incident, which occurred in the 13000 block of I-10 Service Road, and obtained warrants for their arrests. VOWS officers located the suspects and arrested them.

The two juvenile suspects were each booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for attempted second degree murder, aggravated battery by shooting, illegal use of a weapon, illegal possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

As the suspects are juveniles, their names and photos will not be released.
