The NOPD arrested a subject for auto burglary in the Third District.
On December 29, 2019 around 3 a.m. the Lakeview Crime Prevention District and Third District officers received a call reporting a suspicious person near the intersection of Canal Boulevard and Mouton Street.
When responding officers arrived, they located and apprehended a subject in possession of a laptop stolen from a vehicle in the area.
Troy Wright (B/M DOB: 8/11/1994) was taken into custody and charged with simple burglary of a vehicle.
Investigators are working to determine whether Wright is involved in several additional vehicle burglaries that have occurred recently in the Lakeview area.
Wright was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
