NOPD Arrests Suspect in Theft on Almonaster Avenue

The NOPD has arrested Michael Rodrigue (DOB: 11-15-1972) in connection with a theft that occurred at a business in the 10300 block of Almonaster Avenue on December 8, 2018.

On the date of the incident, Rodrigue was reportedly signed in via the on-duty guard as he entered the property inside of his vehicle. An employee then reportedly observed a subject later identified as Rodrigue placing stolen items in the back of a truck. Upon being observed, Rodrigue reportedly fled the location inside of the truck.

Rodrigue allegedly returned hours later on foot to retrieve his personal vehicle, which had been left behind. Robinson was identified as the subject who was at the business earlier in the day and fled in the aforementioned truck.

Rodrigue was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for theft as well as for trespassing.

Anyone with additional information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
