Vehicle Reported Stolen from North Roman Street

The NOPD is seeking information that can aid in recovering a vehicle reported stolen from the 1400 block of North Roman Street on December 2, 2017, along with those responsible in this incident.

The victim told police that she parked her white 2002 Toyota Avalon in front of her residence at about 2 p.m. on December 2, leaving the vehicle unlocked and running while she ran inside the house. When she returned about five minutes later, she observed an unknown juvenile black male about 14-16 years old with long dreadlocks enter the vehicle and drive away.

The vehicle is further described as having a personalized New Orleans Saints license plate, dark tinted windows, a pink fleur-de-lis decal on the rear windshield, a black driver’s side-view mirror. The vehicle also has damage to the front passenger side of the hood, and the front passenger side of the grill is missing.

A photo is included of a vehicle similar in year, color, make and model to that of the vehicle reported as stolen in this incident.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of this vehicle or the juvenile suspect is asked to contact First District detectives at 504-658-6010. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
