Suspects in Decatur Street Pickpocketing Theft Sought by NOPD

The NOPD is seeking to identify and locate two suspects believed to be responsible for a theft by pickpocket incident in the 800 block of Decatur Street on December 12, 2017.

On the date of the incident, the victim was standing in line at a business when she was repeatedly bumped from behind by the pictured heavy-set black male. Several minutes later, the victim discovered her wallet to be missing.

Video surveillance captured the black male pictured at left bumping into the victim to distract her, while the black male to the right with a white goatee took the victim’s wallet from her purse.

The two subjects are wanted in connection with this incident, and detectives believe the pair could possibly be connected with additional robbery incidents in the Eighth District. Investigation into these incidents remains ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this pickpocketing incident or the pictured suspects is asked to contact Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
