Subjects Arrested in Connection With Altercation on Chef Menteur Highway

On December 26, 2017, the NOPD arrested Leroy Buggage (DOB: 06-12-1990), Sade Madison (DOB: 05-16-1989) and Damone Lynch (DOB: 05-22-1993) in connection with an incident that included an armed robbery and an altercation in the 13200 block of Chef Menteur Highway that day.

At about 11:25 a.m., Seventh District officers traveling from an unrelated investigation happened upon a disturbance near the intersection of Michoud Boulevard and Chef Menteur Highway. Upon further investigation, officers determined that Buggage and Madison had been involved in a domestic verbal altercation when Buggage had reportedly agreed to leave the location. During the altercation, Buggage reportedly grabbed the purse belonging to Madison. During the struggle over the purse, Buggage allegedly took items from the purse and pulled a gun out and pointed it at Madison. As Buggage fled the location, he reportedly encountered Lynch outside the location and pulled a gun on Lynch. At that time, Madison – who had reportedly chased Buggage in a vehicle – allegedly intentionally struck Buggage with the vehicle.  After this, Lynch reportedly struck Buggage several times with a baseball bat, causing injuries to his head and wrist. EMS treated Buggage on the scene and transported him to an area hospital. All three subjects were subsequently arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

Buggage was booked for aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm, armed robbery, using a firearm in a robbery and obstruction of justice for allegedly hiding the reported firearm.

Madison was booked for domestic abuse battery, aggravated battery, simple assault and obstruction of justice for allegedly hiding a knife believed to have been involved in the incident.

Lynch was booked for aggravated battery against Buggage.
