NOPD Searches for Suspect Wanted in Aggravated Battery Incident

The NOPD is seeking assistance locating Joshua Beach (DOB: 02-24-1983) who is wanted for his involvement in an aggravated battery incident that happened in the 1100 block of Margaret Place.

The incident happened on Thursday, (Dec. 14) at about 5 p.m. The victim told police he was sitting in the park when he was approached by the suspect who accused him of being in possession of his lighter. The victim informed the suspect that he did not have the lighter, at which time the perpetrator left the location.

The perpetrator returned to the location with a brick wrapped in fabric and struck the victim over the head, fracturing the victim's skull. The suspect fled the location heading southbound on Calliope Street toward Magazine Street. The perpetrator is described as a thin-build male with red hair, a red beard and wearing broken glasses.
