The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in gathering information regarding the homicide of Tyre Smith (DOB 05-24-1998), whose body was discovered in the 1700 block of St. Ann Street on December 4, 2016.
Smith was originally reported as missing from the 4000 block of Duplessis Street on Saturday December 3. However, in the early morning hours of December 4, Smith was found fatally wounded in the 1700 block of St. Ann Street. During the investigation, it was discovered that Smith had been shot multiple times.
NOPD Homicide detectives are seeking to speak with anyone who might have seen Smith on the night of December 3 or on the morning of December 4.
