The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning (Dec. 4) in the 1700 block of St. Ann Street.
Shortly after 6 a.m. First District officers responded to a call of an unknown male down in the area. Upon arrival they found a deceased black male. When representatives of the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office arrived on the scene they discovered the victim had suffered a wound to the neck.
The Coroner will release the victim’s name and the official cause of death.
