New Orleans Police have arrested a suspect for second degree murder.
Arrested was Damon Garcia, Black male, DOB 08/22/1995.
According to investigators, a homicide occurred on August 10, 2025 in the 2600 block of Jackson Avenue. Homicide detectives were able to identify Damon Garcia as the suspect and an arrest warrant was obtained. Damon Garcia was taken into custody on August 18, 2025 at an undisclosed location in Algiers and transported to Central Lockup for booking.
