Subject Wanted for Simple Robbery, Battery of a Dating Partner, and False Imprisonment

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is looking for Donyell Tracey Sanchell Jr. (pictured; DOB:11/14/94) who is wanted for a simple robbery, battery, and false imprisonment incident that occurred on August 8, 2021. 

At around 11:15 p.m., Sanchell reportedly arrived at the victim’s workplace located in the 4200 block of General De Gaulle Drive. He followed the victim to the restroom and prevented the victim from leaving.  Sanchell struck the victim several times with his hands and strangled the victim.  The subject also stole the victim’s property before fleeing the location.
