ARRESTED: Suspect Arrested in Seventh District Aggravated Assault

UPDATE: Kenneth Brown (DOB: 08-31-1966) turned himself in to the NOPD on August 23, 2019 in relation to this investigation 

ORIGINAL RELEASE: Tthe NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Kenneth Brown (pictured, DOB: 08-31-1966) in the investigation of an aggravated assault that occurred on August 16, 2019 in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard.

Detectives have positively identified Brown as the individual who reportedly entered a business at location in his security uniform while intoxicated. Brown then allegedly brandished his firearm by lifting his shirt, before exiting the business. Upon the victim approaching the front door of the business, Brown reportedly removed the firearm from his waistband, pointed it at the victim and verbally threatened to kill the victim. Brown then allegedly fled the location on foot.
