NOPD Seeking Suspect Vehicle in Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a vehicle believed to have been utilized in the commission of a homicide that occurred in the 2800 block of Josephine Street on August 6, 2019.

At about 10:10 p.m., an unknown black male subject reported exited the passenger side of the suspect vehicle before firing gunshots at the victim. The victim was struck multiple times and was later pronounced dead.

Detectives believed a newer model Nissan Rogue SUV, red/orange in color with a possible Louisiana license plate of XNM304 was used by the perpetrator in this incident.

For reference purposes, a stock photo is included of a vehicle similar in year, color, make and model to the aforementioned suspect vehicle.

The suspect vehicle is also believed to be connected to an armed robbery reported in the Third District earlier this month.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is asked to contact NOPD Homicide Detective Aaron Harrelson at 504-658-5300, NOPD Third District detectives at 504-658-6030, or call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
