The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect in the homicide of Michael Tran that occurred on August 23, 2019 in the 14600 block of Peltier Street.
At about 9:19 p.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to the location and discovered a male subject suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
On August 26, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office officially identified Tran as the victim in this incident.
Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have determined that the pictured individual – described as an unknown heavyset black male – is the suspected perpetrator in this incident. The suspect was seen driving the pictured white Nissan SUV vehicle.
