The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Cleavon Brown (DOB: 3-28-1989) in connection with an attempted homicide that occurred today, August 26, 2018 in the 14000 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

At about 12:22 p.m., the victim was sitting in a vehicle in the area. Brown and another suspect known as “Dino” both armed with guns approached the vehicle. Brown opened fire shooting the vitim in the abdomen.

As investigation into the incident progressed, detectives were able to develop Brown as the perpetrator. Investigators are also seeking assistance in identifying and locating the second suspect “Dino” who also approached the vehicle while armed.

When located, Brown will be arrested for attempted second degree homicide, aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal discharge of a firearm during commission of a crime in connection with this incident.
