Suspect Arrested for Armed Robbery on S. Tonti Street

NOPD officers have arrested Lonny Reaux (DOB: 06/06/1982) after his alleged involvement in an armed robbery incident that occurred in the 4500 block of South Tonti Street.

The reporting person told police that on July 26, 2018, an unknown black male subject pulled open the victim’s driver’s door, pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the victim’s head and demanded the victim’s property. The subject reportedly reached into the vehicle and grabbed the victim’s cell phone from his lap. The subject then proceeded to search the victim’s shorts, at which time the subject reportedly removed the victim’s wallet and fled the scene, heading westbound on S. Tonti Street.

During the course of the investigation, officers positively identified Reaux as the perpetrator in this incident. Reaux was arrested on August 2, 2018. The individual was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center where he was booked accordingly.
