NOPD Seeking Suspect in Residential Burglary on South Saratoga Street

The NOPD is requesting assistance from the public in locating and identifying a suspect believed to be responsible for a residential burglary that occurred in the 1600 block of South Saratoga Street on August 31, 2018.

Officers learned that the victim had left and secured her residence at about 10:30 a.m. on August 30. When she returned that same day at about 9:40 p.m., she found her front door ajar and called police. Officers arrived and, upon investigation, discovered the residence had been burglarized and numerous items were reported missing including a power tool, speaker system, personal checks and two bicycles to be missing. Officers also discovered a broken window and a brick in a bedroom.

Security footage from the residence revealed the pictured unknown black male wearing a brown baseball cap and brown T-shirt in the backyard and living room of the residence.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the pictured suspect is asked to contact NOPD Sixth District detectives at 504-658-6060 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
