The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Kirk Favorite (DOB: 09-03-1973), in connection with an aggravated assault incident that occurred on June 18, 2018 in the 1900 block of Newton Street.
Through investigation, NOPD Fourth District detectives determined that at approximately 5:00 p.m., the victim and Favorite had allegedly been involved in a verbal altercation regarding the victim’s unwillingness to allow Favorite to purchase alcohol due to Favorite’s reported extreme state of intoxication. The victim said that Favorite then exited the store, allegedly retrieved a handgun, aimed the gun at the victim and began to walk toward him. The victim retreated, at which time Favorite reportedly fled the scene in his vehicle.
When located, Favorite will be arrested for aggravated assault with a firearm.
