NOPD Arrests Suspects in Aggravated Assault with a Firearm in Seventh District

The NOPD has arrested Cole Carraby (DOB: 08-19-1993) and Quinta Steadman (DOB: 09-13-1991) in connection with an aggravated assault with a firearm that occurred on August 20, 2018 at the intersection of Parc Brittany and South Coronet Court.

Prior to being arrested, the subjects were accused of being involved in a verbal altercation with the victim that reportedly escalated when Carraby allegedly produced a firearm and informed the victims that he did not have to fight because he had a gun. As the offenders fled the location, Steadman was reportedly observed discharging the firearm out of a window.

Upon arrest, Steadman tested positive for guns shot residue and Carraby was found in possession of a firearm.

Carraby was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for aggravated assault with a firearm, simple criminal damage to property and illegal carrying of a firearm.

Steadman was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of simple criminal damage to property, one count of illegal carrying of a firearm, two counts of simple assault and one count of illegal use of a weapon.
