Two Vehicles Reported as Stolen in First District

The First District is searching for two vehicles reported as stolen at South Broad Street and Cleveland Avenue and underneath the Claiborne bridge overpass on August 25, 2017.

The reporting person told police she parked and secured her black 2016 Hyundai Accent at 9 a.m. at the intersection of South Broad Street and Cleveland Avenue. However, when she returned back to the location at about 10:50 p.m. the vehicle was missing. No broken glass was found near the area.

The vehicle is described as a two-door bearing a Louisiana license plate of 740AYM.

A second auto theft occurred the same day. The victim told police he parked and secured his gold, 2011 Toyota Camry at around 7:15 p.m. underneath the Claiborne overpass at South Claiborne Avenue and Perdido Street. The victim then told police when he returned at midnight on August 26, 2017, the vehicle was missing from the area. No broken glass was found near the area.

The vehicle is described as a four-door bearing a Louisiana license plate of 910ALJ.
