Suspect Wanted for Attempted Armed Robbery on N. Maestri & Camp Streets

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying an unknown male subject after he implied he had a weapon and tried to rob a victim today (August 11, 2017).

At around 6:43 a.m., the below unknown subject approached the victim while she was in her vehicle at the intersection of North Maestri and Camp Streets. The victim told police the subject then began to talk to her in a friendly manner.  He then advised her that he was going to take her purse. When the victim grabbed her phone, the suspect threatened to kill her. 

The victim told police the suspect's right hand was located near the right side of his waistband as if he was implying he had a weapon. The victim was able to flee the area and no property was taken during the incident.
