Suspect Quickly Arrested by Seventh District for Aggravated Battery with Firearm

Seventh District officers arrested Roan Hart (DOB: 8-2-1992) today for aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

After getting into an argument with his girlfriend, Hart advised his sister and his sister’s boyfriend at about 3:05 p.m. to not allow his girlfriend into the residence which is located in the 4600 block of Eastview Drive. However, Hart’s sister told police she refused to get involved in her brother’s relationship.  Once Hart’s girlfriend arrived and was allowed entry into the residence, Hart became angry.

He then reportedly attacked his sister’s boyfriend while he was inside the bathroom. As the victim attempted to stop him, Hart produced a firearm and struck the victim multiple times on the head causing lacerations to the top of his head.

Seventh District officers were able to quickly apprehend Hart after he attempted to flee by jumping over multiple fences in the neighborhood. Hart was arrested and booked with one count of aggravated battery and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
