Suspect Found with Three Guns Arrested for Aggravated Assault, Attempted Burglary with Firearm

NOPD Seventh District officers arrested Malik Rhone (DOB: 9-6-1997) after he reportedly pointed a gun to a victim’s head and attempted to break into an apartment in the 7000 block of Bundy Road.

The incident happened on August 3, 2017.  The victim told police at about 3:30 p.m. she walked out of her front door when Rhone approached her with a gun attempting to get inside of the residence. The victim then told police Rhone pointed the gun at her head and threatened to kill her if she didn't allow him to come inside. The victim was able to keep Rhone from entering the location. He eventually fled the location.

With assistance from the VOWS Unit, a search warrant was executed on August 9, 2017 at 6817 Tara Lane where Rhone was apprehended. Three firearms were located inside of the residence where Rhone was staying. The firearms include a Pietro Beretta (pictured in the center) , a Cobra .380 and a silver colored Lorcin .380.

Rhone was arrested and booked with attempted aggravated burglary and aggravated assault with a firearm.
