NOPD Seeking to Locate Four Vehicles Reported Stolen After Flooding

The NOPD is requesting assistance from the public in locating four vehicles that were reported stolen in the wake of flooding in the city on August 6, 2017.

On August 7, the victims reported the following vehicles stolen from the intersection of North Claiborne and St. Bernard avenues:

  • A grey 2014 Porche Panamera bearing Georgia license plate #DV551Q
  • A white 2004 Lincoln Navigator bearing Louisiana license plate #515AFP
  • A black 2015 Chevrolet Corvette bearing Louisiana license plate #ZJL729
  • A 2012 Chevrolet Sonic bearing Pennsylvania license plate #JFX3365

In each case, the victims reported parking the vehicle under the bridge in the area on August 5 to avoid possibly damaging the vehicles from flooded streets. Upon the owners returning to the location, the vehicles were found to be missing.

Photos of vehicles similar to those reported stolen in these incidents, but not of the actual vehicles involved, are included with this release.

Anyone with information on these vehicle thefts is asked to contact Third District detectives at 504-658-6030. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
