The NOPD is investigating a double stabbing incident that occurred today (August 26. 2017) in the 700 block of Canal Street and left one of the victims deceased.
At about 5:35 p.m., Eighth District officers responded to a disturbance at the McDonald’s restaurant at 711 Canal Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from apparent stab wounds to the chest and face. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
A second subject was located near the scene and also suffering from a stab wound to the chest. The subject was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Investigation into the incident is active and ongoing. No additional information is available at this time.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the name of the deceased victim, pending autopsy results and notification of family.
