The NOPD Eighth District has arrested Nakia Hubbard (DOB: 5/5/1986) after she was found in possession of a gun, methamphetamine and marijuana on August 29, 2017.
At around 11:30 p.m., the Eighth District General Assignment Unit conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Canal and North Rampart Streets. The driver, later identified as Nakia Hubbard, was discovered to have an arrest warrant on file for a domestic simple battery charge.
During the arrest, officers discovered that Hubbard was in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. Officers also find her to be in possession of a Ruger LCP .380 caliber handgun.
