First District Arrests Suspect in Armed Robbery at Hotel

NOPD First District officers have arrested Tykia Zeno (DOB:12-18-1991) for an armed robbery incident involving a gun. 

The incident happened on August 29, 2017.  At approximately 1 a.m., members of the First District responded to an armed robbery at the Empress Hotel in the 1300 block of Ursuline Avenue. Through the course of the investigation, Zeno was positively identified as the individual responsible for the incident. 

On Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at around 3:55 p.m., Detectives DeCynda Chambers and Stephen Neveaux assigned to the First District Investigative Unit (DIU) observed Zeno in the 1300 block of North Villere Street.

She was arrested without incident and transported to Central Lock-up where she was booked accordingly.
