The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating a subject wanted in connection with a theft investigation in the First District.
On Wednesday April 19, 2023, at about 3:07p.m. a package was stolen from a porch in the 3200 block of St. Peter Street by someone riding a bicycle.
Through investigation, detectives identified Douglas Walker, (pictured, black male DOB 3-24-1967) as the perpetrator in this incident.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Walker on theft charges.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
