NOPD Searching for Person of Interest in Shooting Investigation

NOPD Searching for Person of Interest in Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a subject being sought as a person of interest in an aggravated battery by shooting in the First District March 28, 2023.

At about 11:09 p.m., NOPD First District officers responded to University Medical Center to investigate a report of a man who had been shot at an unknown location on Canal Street. The victim told officers he was approached by an armed man who attempted to rob him.  He struggled with the gunman and was shot in the chest and arm.

Through investigation, the above pictured unknown black female was identified as a person of interest in this incident.  She is not wanted in this incident but is sought for questioning as investigators believe she may have information vital to the investigation.
