Traffic Operation Tonight (April 14, 2026)

The New Orleans Police Department, in coordination with the Louisiana State Police and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, will conduct a planned traffic operation on the Crescent City Connection on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

This operation will take place from approximately 7:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

During this time, there will be a temporary rolling closure of traffic on the bridge from the East Bank to the West Bank to support coordinated public safety operations. This will include temporary closures of all on-ramps on Interstate 10 East and U.S. 90 Business between South Carrollton Avenue and General De Gaulle Drive. Traffic on U.S. 90 Business West coming from the West Bank and heading west through New Orleans onto Interstate 10 West will not be affected.

During this operation, motorists should expect:

  • Brief traffic delays
  • Temporary on-ramp restrictions
  • Direction from law enforcement personnel in the area

Traffic will be restored as quickly as possible once the operation is complete.

Motorists are encouraged to:

  • Plan accordingly
  • Use alternate routes if available
  • Follow all instructions from officers on scene

We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as we carry out this coordinated effort.
