NOPD's Traffic Division will be conducting proactive impaired driving patrols this Thursday April 9, 2026.
The exact times and location for this operation are yet to be determined.
The public is advised to be aware that these patrols could be taking place anywhere across New Orleans.
Motorists will experience minimal delays and should have the proper documentation available if requested, i.e., proof of insurance, driver’s license, etc.
"Strategic enforcement saves lives,” NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said. “Our officers are committed to protecting drivers, passengers, and pedestrians through proactive patrols and targeted traffic operations.”
