The New Orleans Police Department is continuing its work to strengthen internal controls and improve financial oversight as part of ongoing modernization efforts.
As part of this effort, NOPD is reviewing internal processes to make sure systems are aligned with current roles, responsibilities, and best practices.
The department is also coordinating with ADP to review and update user access within the system. This includes resetting permissions to ensure access is appropriate, current, and consistent with each employee’s role.
These steps are part of a broader, ongoing effort to strengthen accountability, improve efficiency, and ensure our systems support the standards expected of this department.
Overall overtime across the city is down 44 percent, with NOPD accounting for approximately 61 percent of that reduction.
This work also aligns with Mayor Helena Moreno’s administration’s focus on accountability, transparency, and strong financial oversight.
NOPD will continue evaluating and strengthening internal processes to support long-term accountability and better serve the public.
