The NOPD today announced the arrest of Cleimani Price (black male, DOB: 05-12-1977) in its investigation of a homicide that occurred on April 28, 2026, in the 4300 block of Baudin Street.
At about 7:55 p.m., NOPD Third District officers responded to a call of a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim at the location who was found to have sustained a gunshot wound(s). The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS.
Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives quickly developed and positively identified Price to be the perpetrator in this incident. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Price on one count of second-degree murder.
Price was arrested hours after the incident on April 29 in the 4100 block of North Claiborne Avenue. He was booked accordingly into the Orleans Justice Center.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
