The NOPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in the investigation of an auto theft incident on April 1, 2022, in the 400 block of Common Street.
At about 4:49 p.m., the pictured suspect was seen riding the pictured bicycle in the 400 block of Common Street before stopping and entering the victim’s blue BMW SUV bearing North Carolina license plate JFH6292 and fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described as an unknown white male, standing approximately 5’7” to 5’9” with a tall and slim build. He was seen wearing a dark-colored shirt and pants, a two-tone baseball cap and a black mask, while carrying a black backpack.
