NOPD Seeking Suspect in Seventh District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is requesting assistance from the public in locating and identifying a suspect in the ongoing investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred on April 24, 2022, in the 8200 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

During this incident, which occurred at about 4:25 p.m. on April 24, the pictured unknown suspect allegedly produced a handgun from his waistband and fired at the victim, striking the victim in the leg. The suspect then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male with a dark brown complexion, facial hair and long dreadlocked hair. He was seen wearing a light-colored head covering, white or gray t-shirt, dark-colored pants and dark-colored shoes with white laces.
