NOPD Identifies Suspect Wanted in Sixth District Shooting

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Joshua Neal (pictured, black male, DOB: 05-06-1985) in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred on April 16, 2022, at the intersection of South Liberty and Toledano streets.

Through investigation, NOPD Sixth District detectives determined that the incident was domestic in nature. Further investigation led detectives to develop and positively identify Neal as the perpetrator in this incident. He is wanted for one count of second-degree aggravated battery, domestic aggravated assault, illegal use of weapons, felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of violation of protective orders.
