The NOPD has arrested Gregory Davis (not pictured, black male, DOB: 08-07-1986) and Dwan Harris (not pictured, black male, DOB: 01-11-1993) in the investigation of three armed robberies in the Eighth District, one of which included an attempted murder.

The incidents linked to these suspects occurred on the following dates and locations in the Eighth District:

  • April 17, 2022, at about 2:00 p.m.  at the intersection of Frenchmen and North Rampart streets.
  • April 18, 2022, at about 1:25 a.m. in the 100 block of Burgundy Street.

During these incidents, the perpetrators allegedly targeted single female pedestrians, pointed a gun to their heads and stole the victims’ purses or carry bags. During the incident in the 100 block of Burgundy Street, one of the suspects reportedly fired a single shot near the victim’s head shortly before the victim fell to the ground.

Through investigation, NOPD Eighth District detectives developed and positively identified Davis and Harris as perpetrators in these incidents and obtained warrants for their arrests each on three counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted murder.

Detectives discovered that Davis and Harris are both currently in custody in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail and are awaiting extradition to Orleans Parish to face the aforementioned charges.
