NOPD Seeking Suspects, Vehicle in First District Thefts, Battery Incident

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying those responsible for what are believed to be multiple related criminal incidents that occurred on April 6, 2021 in the First District.

At around 2:40 p.m., the pictured Honda Pilot SUV is believed to have been involved in the commission of a simple burglary of a vehicle in the 600 block of North Broad Street, where the victim’s purse was stolen from her vehicle and the suspects fled. The suspects returned a short time later in the same vehicle and allegedly stole the victim’s 2013 Toyota Rav4 from the location.

The subjects were then seen a short time later in the 2800 block of Toulouse Street, where the front passenger (pictured) reportedly exited the vehicle and snatched the purse of a second victim before entering the victim’s Honda CR-V and attempting to flee. The victim reportedly attempted to retrieve her vehicle. However, the suspect allegedly reversed the vehicle and struck the victim, causing multiple injuries, before reportedly fleeing the scene. At this time, the Honda CR-V has not been recovered.

Anyone with additional information on any of these incidents is asked to contact NOPD First District detectives at 504-658-6010 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
