Suspect Wanted by NOPD for Aggravated Assault, Domestic Abuse Battery

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Jason Williams (pictured, DOB: 04-05-1985) in the investigation of an aggravated assault and domestic battery incident that occurred on February 16, 2020 in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks Drive.

At about 1:00 p.m., Williams was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with the victim. The suspect allegedly struck the victim multiple times in the face and body with a closed fist. Additionally, the suspect reportedly strangled the victim to the point where the victim nearly lost consciousness. During the altercation, the suspect also allegedly swung a large kitchen knife at the victim multiple times.

When located, Williams will be arrested for aggravated assault and for domestic abuse battery by strangulation.
