NOPD Quickly Arrests Burglary Suspect in the Fifth District

New Orleans – The NOPD arrested Edmond Brown on April 15, 2020 (pictured, DOB: 9/8/1973) after being positively identified as the person who burglarized a home earlier that day.

At around 3:00 a.m., NOPD Fifth District officers responded to a call of burglary in progress in the 2100 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.  They were advised that a subject, later identified as Brown, reportedly entered an occupied home.  The residents confronted Brown and he fled the location.  However, officers were able to apprehend him after being given a description.

Brown was booked for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, as well as possession of stolen property stemming from an outstanding warrant.  It is believed Brown is responsible for several recent burglaries reported in the Fifth District.
