NOPD Investigating Homicide in the Sixth District

New Orleans – The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred on April 16, 2020 (today) in the Sixth District. 

At around 11:02 a.m., NOPD Sixth District officers responded to a call of aggravated battery by shooting at or near the intersection of Harmony and LaSalle Streets.  Upon arrival, officers discovered one male suffering from a gunshot wound(s).  Life saving measures were performed, however the victim succumbed to his injuries. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.  No further information is available at this time. 

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
