New Orleans – The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of an adult male on April 23, 2020 (today).
Seventh District officers responded to a call of shots fired around 6:01 a.m. in the 7600 block of Dalewood Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 22-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound(s). The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine an official cause of death and release the victim’s name upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
