NOPD Identifies Suspect Sought for Possession of Stolen Property

The NOPD has obtained a warrant for Shane Bradley Nicholson (pictured, DOB: 01-03-1992) for illegal possession of property reported as stolen in an incident on February 28, 2020 in the 1100 block of Kerelec Street.

The victim advised that at about 3:30 a.m. on February 28, he was robbed of his wallet containing cash, as well as of a winning video poker ticket valued at more than $1,000.

Through investigation, NOPD First District detectives positively identified Nicholson as the subject who was seen cashing the winning ticket at a bar in the 2200 block of Saint Claude Avenue on March 1, 2020 at about 3:02 p.m. A warrant has been issued for Nicholson’s arrest.

Nicholson is described as a black male standing about 6’0” and weighing about 185 pounds.
