Suspect Wanted for Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault w/ Firearm, Domestic Abuse Battery & Simple Criminal Damage to Property

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating Edwin Blatcher (DOB: 07/11/1974), who is wanted in connection with a domestic abuse aggravated assault incident that occurred in the 1000 block of Flanders Street.

On April 18, 2019 around 3 a.m., the subject was engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim when he allegedly struck the victim in her face with a closed hand and pointed a handgun at the victim’s head.

The subject reportedly followed the victim to her residence, at which time a second victim intervened. Blatcher allegedly pointed the weapon at the second victim. The victim then reentered his residence, at which time the subject reportedly damaged the victim’s front door and fled the scene in a Chrysler 300.

When located, Blatcher will be booked with domestic abuse aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a firearm, domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property.
